ABOUT CHANTELLE

Chantelle Cameron (born 14 May 1991 in Northampton) is a British professional boxer signed to MTK Global and promoted by Matchroom Boxing. After representing team GB as an amateur for 8 years Chantelle turned professional in 2016 and held the IBO world lightweight title from 2017 to 2019.  Chantelle’s professional boxing record stands at an impressive 12 wins, 0 draws & 0 losses.

Chantelle is trained by Jamie Moore and Nigel Travis at the VIP gym in Manchester and she is the current WBC silver champion and current world number one contender at both lightweight & super-lightweight.

As stated on Matchroom Boxings website:

Trained by Jamie Moore at the VIP Gym in Astley and managed by MTK Global, 29-year-old Cameron penned a promotional deal with Eddie Hearn in June 2020 and immediately made her views clear on wanting to dive straight into the deep end of World Title action. Cameron became IBO World Lightweight Champion in Leicester, retiring Viviane Obenauf in six rounds at the end of 2017.

‘Il Capo’, holds mandatory status in two weight divisions. Firstly to Katie Taylor at Lightweight and secondly to the WBC World Super-Lightweight crown formerly held by Jessica McCaskill before she moved up to Welterweight to challenge long reigning queen, Cecilia Braekhus.

Cameron put on a punch perfect display as she took apart Adriana Dos Santos Araujo to win the famous green and gold strap in her first fight under the Matchroom banner.
